Graeme Newton

As the CEO of the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority, Graeme Newton is responsible for leading the delivery of the Cross River Rail project, one of the largest infrastructure projects in Australia. The project involves the construction of a new rail line and associated infrastructure in the heart of Brisbane, which will significantly improve public transport services and reduce congestion in the region.

Newton has extensive experience in infrastructure delivery, having previously worked as the Deputy Secretary of the New South Wales Department of Planning and Environment, where he led the delivery of major projects such as the Barangaroo redevelopment in Sydney. Prior to that, he held senior roles at the Department of Infrastructure and Transport, the Department of Finance and Deregulation, and the Department of Defence.

As CEO, Newton's responsibilities include overseeing the delivery of the Cross River Rail project, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.
