Meet the Manufacturers (Industrial Heater)

In this episode, we speak to Industrial Heater's owner and CEO, Tom McGwire, and Mechanical Drafter, Nikki Coleman.

Industrial Heater is in its 102nd year of business after it was started in 1921 by his grandfather.

In 1954 his grandfather patented the very first ceramic band heater. These heaters were used extensively in the textile industry and remain a staple within the business. Since then things have grown and developed and they are now based in Cheshire, Connecticut so join me as we find out more about the company and its people.

ManufactureCT presents "Meet the Manufacturers," a popular series that delves into the world of local manufacturing and highlights the members of ManufactureCT. With a rich history dating back to 1913, ManufactureCT (formerly known as New Haven Manufacturers Association) stands as one of the longest-running industry groups dedicated to serving manufacturers in the United States.

In 2019, ManufactureCT expanded its scope and officially became a statewide forum, bringing together community and business leaders who share perspectives from inside manufacturing facilities to foster collective strength within the sector. Throughout the years, the organization has celebrated its member companies' remarkable achievements, including inductions into the prestigious American Manufacturers Hall of Fame. Moreover, active participation in ManufactureCT's programs has facilitated the professional development of individual representatives.
