Bio of Margi Vilnay

Margi Vilnay is an accomplished educator and professional in the field of structural engineering. She currently holds the position of Director of Public Engagement and Outreach for the School of Science and Engineering at the University of Dundee, where she is also a Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering. In addition to her academic work, Margi is the Vice Chair of the Council of Military Education Committees (COMEC), where she provides guidance and support to the UK Armed Forces. Prior to her current roles, she worked as a Lecturer in Structural Engineering and Course Leader for BSc(Hons) Civil Engineering at Abertay University. Margi has also worked as a consulting engineer, where she provided structural design services for a variety of projects in the UK and internationally. Margi is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
