Shelley Stewart III is a Senior Partner with McKinsey & Company and a leader in the firm's Marketing & Sales and Private Markets Practices. With a focus on the industrial and technology sectors in the US and Europe, Shelley advises and serves privately held and publicly traded clients on marketing and sales topics, including growth strategy, sales, distribution, pricing, automotive, construction, pharmaceuticals, and medical products.
In addition to his client work, Shelley is a leading voice in McKinsey's research on Black economic mobility in the United States. He works to identify opportunities for financial inclusion and building supportive Black business ecosystems, and he has published numerous articles and speaks regularly on the topic. Shelley also serves on the board of the National Black MBA Association, a non-profit organization focused on the educational and economic empowerment of African Americans.
Before joining McKinsey, Shelley worked in financial services, holding roles at an investment banking firm and co-founding Dreadnought Capital Management, an investment management firm where he led portfolio management.
