Krishanthi Carfrae is an Associate Cities Advisory and Economics at Arup, where she has been utilizing her expertise in economic analysis and environmental policy for over 6 years. She is an MBA-qualified Chartered Landscape Architect and Chartered Town Planner with extensive ESG advisory experience in strategy development and implementation for economic impact across various sectors, including regeneration, clean energy, renewables, advanced manufacturing, culture, and creative sectors.
Krishanthi has worked in different sectors within the Built Environment, including electricity, nuclear, transport, freight and logistics, innovation, academia, R&D, Freeports, and culture and creative industries. She is passionate about working in diverse teams to bring together different perspectives for improved outcomes and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Krishanthi's human-centered approach enables her to influence stakeholders and build consensus, ensuring alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She also has strong written and presentation skills, enabling her to tailor material to suit different audiences. Krishanthi has successfully delivered funding applications and business cases to central government for large capital regeneration programs across the Towns Fund, Levelling Up Fund, and Freeports.
