Brian "Big Country" Conwella is a disabled army veteran who lost his left leg on January 7th 2014. The doctor said that he would never walk again. After 5 years of deep depression, anxiety and PTSD, he learned how to walk on his own. Brian now has a paralympic license and shot put disc and powerlifting. He plays Pro wheelchair basketball and helps other people with disabilities get their life back through fitness and sports. Join us and chat with Brian Conwell.

The issue surrounding the Redondo Beach Fire Department and LA County Fire Department is complex. Former City Councilwoman Laura Emdee joins us to break it down and help you understand the finances and repercussions of sending the city's first responders to the county. Join us. Less than 1% of all fire departments in the country receive a Class 1 rating. Based on the report, it appears Redondo residents will pay more to get much less we contract with LA County. The County contract is proposing a reduction of dedicated staff located inside the City. In the proposal some staff will be shared resources with surrounding cities. Once we lose our local fire department, it is gone so this is an important decision.
