Nikolaus S. Lang is a Managing Director and Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group, where he is also the Global Leader for the firm's Global Advantage practice. With more than 25 years of experience, Lang has supported clients on globalization and mobility-related topics in over 50 emerging and mature markets worldwide. He is an expert in connectivity, self-driving vehicles, car-sharing, and fleet management and has founded BCG's Center for Mobility Innovation. Lang also manages BCG's collaboration with the World Economic Forum, which is dedicated to shaping the mobility of the future.
As a global citizen, Lang was born in Paris and grew up moving around the world as the son of Austrian diplomats. He has lived in several countries, including Japan, Switzerland, and Malaysia. Currently, he resides in Munich with his wife and three children.
Lang is a prolific author and has published works that address a wide range of topics critical to Global CEOs, including global digital transformation, geopolitics and trade impact, global R&D networks, mobility innovation, and new megacities in emerging markets. He is also the co-author of BCG's recent book, BEYOND GREAT: Nine Strategies for Thriving in an Era of Social Tension, Economic Nationalism, and Technological Revolution.
