• The new titanium ultrasonic handpiece, which, as Cat explains is 30% lighter than its predecessor and ergonomically designed to be beautifully balanced and comfortable in the clinician’s hand. With the option to change power settings using the new wireless foot control, the ultrasonic handpiece also has a feedback function whereby power is automatically adjusted depending on the tooth surface.  
• Unlike its predecessor, Cat explains how both the ultrasonic and powder handpieces can now use heated water to provide exceptional comfort to patients throughout the appointment. The heated water can easily be switched on or off according to the patient’s preference.    
• When it comes to powder therapy, Cat demonstrates how the Varios Combi Pro2 gives clinicians the option to use both supra and sub-gingival powders, which are contained completely within individual interchangeable powder chambers, reducing concerns when it comes to maintenance or worries about blockages.  
• Cat introduces the “very exciting” Jet Nozzle for perio powder handpiece, which narrows the beam of the spray to remove staining or thick biofilm on roots or restorations without the need for stronger powders.
• A look at the wireless multi-function foot control, which as well as doing away with the worry of trailing wires in the surgery, has the option to increase and decrease the power settings for both ultrasonic and powdertherapy. Plus, on the ultrasonic it gives the option to switch between general, endo and perio modes.
