Renae Johnson is the founder of Open Space Therapy Collective (OSTC), a group practice that focuses on mental health for and by the LGBTQIA+ communities and their allies. Renae has long been a mental health community leader and educator, and is working to build a foundation of awareness and resources in the mental health community for providing queer- and trans-informed care. Renae also hosts a podcast called My Therapist is Out!, which features conversations on mental health topics from a queer perspective.

Renae is an art therapist who specializes in treating complex trauma, identity and gender, and artistic development. Prior to founding OSTC, Renae spent a decade in community health services for people experiencing complex co-occurring diagnoses, first as a therapist and later as an Operations Director.

Becky Belinsky, Ph.D., LMFT specializes in working with clients who struggle with eating disorders and all types of food and/or body image related issues. Her approach is size inclusive and fat positive, and she is passionate about exploring the societal and relational factors that contribute to eating disorders and disordered eating. She has conducted research around the intersection of weight stigma, eating disorders, and family relationships, and is also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. Benji and Nora (LMFTA) co-facilitate a group called Why Am I Still F*cking Single in Portland Oregon. Benji is in their third and final year of the Licensed Professional Counselor Program at Lewis and Clark College, and is the practice manager of Nora's private practice Awake Together Counseling. In her practice, Nora specializes in couples, sex therapy, and individuals experiencing prolonged, unwanted singlehood. In their clinical practice, Benji specializes in sexuality, gender identity, and religious trauma.

Merle Yost is a psychotherapist, author of six books, and teacher. His last book is "Facing the Truth of Your Life", and he is here promoting his new workshop series, "Seven Steps to Powerful Boundaries".

He has been a private practice therapist for over 30 years and specializes in trauma, men sexually abused as children, gynecomastia, and bi and gay heterosexually married men.

After growing up in a cult and being sexually abused as a child, his healing journey led him to help others claim their power and lives. He is an Approved Consultant in EMDR, a San Francisco Gestalt Institute graduate, has a Masters in Counseling Psychology: Transpersonal Specialization, and a BA in Management.

Dr. Jennifer Montesi (mon-teasy) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a full time private practice in the LA area. She specializes in the treatment of OCD, partner relational problems, and the overlap between couple distress and OCD. She has a particular specialty in treating Relationship OCD (or R-OCD). She spent 2 years working the VA Palo Alto Health Care System and thus is also well-versed in treating trauma, addiction, and the range of anxiety and mood disorders. In her practice, Dr. Montesi focuses on showing up in a way that is both warm and challenging with her clients and emphasizes the therapeutic relationship above all else. In addition to her work with clients, Dr. Montesi is a Clinical Associate Professor in the UCLA Department of Psychology where she supervises doctoral students in their clinical training. In her free time, Dr. Montesi loves being with her 3 young kids, baking, and being outdoors.

Dr. Taylor is a licensed clinical psychologist (CA PSY 29909) who focuses on ways to provide evidence-based, effective, accessible mental health services to specific target populations, from adolescents to Veterans. Her areas of interest include postpartum mental health, anxiety, depression, crisis management and app development.  She has a B.A. in psychology from Stanford University, a Masters of Public Health (Community Health Sciences) from UCLA, and a Psy.D. from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium. When not at work, Katie spends time eating Baskin Robbins Winter White Chocolate ice cream and chasing her three children (and often doing both of those things simultaneously).

 

Julie Ursic, JD, MSW a licensed attorney and associate clinical social worker in private practice in Hermosa Beach and San Pedro. She specializes in treating perinatal mood disorders including anxiety and depression using evidence based approaches and enjoys working with the pregnant and postpartum populations. She also utilizes CBT-I to help clients experiencing insomnia and sleep difficulties. With her 17 yrs experience at a law firm, Julie has a special interest in working with clients in high stress professions trying to manage the work/life balance. 

Julie completed her B.A. in Communication Studies and minor in Applied Developmental Psychology at UCLA followed by her JD at Loyola Law School and MSW at USC. Julie applies her experience as an attorney and mother of 3 including multiples to provide a behavioral approach to manage the impact of stress, depression, and anxiety on daily life.

Rebecca is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in private practice who focuses on trauma and anxiety. Originally from Chicago, she worked in "the biz" for over ten years before changing careers into psychotherapy. She received her Masters in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University with a focus on Trauma. Rebecca studied various approaches to relational trauma and grief in an effort to create a new integrative approach to intimate safety related wounds.

Rebecca utilizes EMDR with both couples and individuals to address complex and single incident trauma. Somatic approaches are her preferred method for aiding clients with regulation issues. Rebecca has a virtual and in-person practice with a diverse group of associates, all of whom are strength-based and relational. Both in and outside of session, Rebecca utilizes humor and a wellspring of knowledge about sci-fi and fantasy to connect with others.
